This entire Ateneo-La Salle scamper for tickets is getting to be increasingly less amusing, and becoming downright disgusting.
I hate this season's scalpers. I say 'this season's scalpers' because this is the only season I've been interested in in my entire stay at the Ateneo, due to a promise to myself that I *had* to watch an Ateneo-La Salle game at least once. And from articles I've read in the Inquirer, this season is the worst for people who want to buy tickets honestly. Prices that have been reported P25K for a patron ticket?), are just ridiculous. And now there are ongoing bidding wars on eBay and sulit.ph, and Multiply as well.
People are feeding off the desperation of people, and there are people who patronize this system, the buyers. Some people call it being a good businessman, dangling an in-demand item in front of desperate people's faces, and jacking the price up by 200%. Sure, I get that. I understand that scalping is inescapable, too. It's an opportunity to make a quick buck. But P450 for a P50 general admission ticket, and 25k for a ticket is no longer being a shrewd businessman--it's just downright greed.
Every bloody time I see a post on Multiply advertising the bidding of tickets, I just want to tear that person's face off with my teeth. Or post a comment politely asking why the price has been jacked up so much, when the original price was only this much. Of course I wouldn't, because I'd probably get the very erudite reply, "I'm a scalper. DUH." Earlier, while I was lining up for tickets, and peoples' names were being called (last 100 tickets), every absentee was cheered for not being there, because that meant more tickets for everyone else. It was just sickening. Obviously the juniors and seniors forgot the point of Intro to Philosophy, and Theology as well. What happened to human dignity, to being people for others?
I don't want to be a part of that. I'd love to watch the game, but not to the point of lowering myself to the level where I regale in the losses of others. That's La Salle's job. We're Ateneans; we like to say and think we're better than everyone else. We should show them we are.
I've been to one Ateneo-La Salle game, but I know I won't die if I can't attend the game on Thursday. It would be nice to, but I think holding on to my principles is better. Crowding around a school TV with a bunch of people really isn't so bad.
Next game na lang.

| | Eh. Lawl. We have so few pictures together because when I take pictures, only JP's in the picture, and when JP takes pictures, they come out blurry. XD |

| | Well. Some of Block B, and some of first sem, and leftovers from second sem of junior year. |

I will miss the spark in your eyes when we discuss your favorite poems in class. Especially when the poem is about heartbreak (as many of the poems are), I wonder if it's happened to you before. When you got sick, I told some other kids about it. They said just because you were a legend didn't mean you weren't human. That thought never occured to me. If I'd known this would be coming, I would've shown you my best, and not half-hearted attempts at coherence spawned the night before the submission date. You deserved better. There are so many things I want to say, but it'll all come out either really weird, or really cheesy (Well, aren't we all beating on cracked kettles, hoping with our music to move the stars? :), but perhaps Robert Frost says it best: Ah, when to the heart of man Was it ever less than a treason To go with the drift of things, To yield with a grace to reason, And bow and accept the end Of a love or a season? I will miss you very, very much, Sir Max. ;_____; (Even if I will technically see you around--I think--retiring is still retiring.)
Pre-pilot. We have more to say in real life.
Choppy quality. Download? XDD
